Though it is not documented that Bradley visited the Palais de Rois de Mallorque in Perpignan his subject matter was often drawn from experience and he spent time travelling in the neighbouring region of Cataluyna. The regulated structure of composition and palette parallels the buildings weathered exterior whilst each ‘window’ contains one of Bradleys calligraphic images.
