Richard Fox b. 1965

Richard Fox is a self-taught artist with an instinctive eye for the interaction between form and space. He has exhibited widely in London and the provinces over the last ten years and installed his elegant sculptures in public spaces in Oxford and several of it’s universities. Commissions include John Rowan and Partners, London; Mirabaud Securities, London; and the Four seasons Hotel, Riyadh.

In his sculptures he explores the use of different materials, wood, marble and bronze and their individual relationships with the final aesthetic. Each work investigates the interaction of form, space and movement; and how we connect with the abstract structure.

This interaction is enhanced by Fox’s method of mounting the sculptures, so they rotate, offering the possibilities of varying engagement.
