Grounded Form is an altogether more complex sculpture than Leigh Davis has attempted before. Using wire armature and plaster to create the original, the work is cast in several pieces and then welded together. The patination reflects the rusted and decayed state of the subject, a Dornier Bomber raised from the seabed of Goodwin Sands.
