L'Ondee d'Automne (Autumn Shower) is typical of Bradley's oeuvre from the 1960s, a self-lit composition with broad swathes of white oil wash over warmer blues and greys, in which his calligraphic and symbolic influences are less pronounced. In the 1960 Gallery Rive Gauche catalogue, Bradley refers to the influence of ancient cultures which helped him to create his own language and become as much a 'visual poet as a painter'.
