This inaugural exhibition in the new gallery continues our philosophy of showcasing significant names from the Modern British era alongside lesser-known artists such as Martin Bradley, Jason Lilley and John Kingerlee.
Over the past few months, we have acquired remarkable works by the St Ives artists Terry Frost, Patrick Heron, Trevor Bell, Barbara Hepworth, and Brian Wall, mainly from private collections. Our Modern British inventory has also been strengthened, with recent additions by Craigie Aitcheson, Alan Davie, John Hoyland, and Allen Jones.
