Inspired by the weather-sculpted granite forms found throughout the landscapes of St Agnes and St Marys in the Isles of Scilly, Cornubian batholith is a large mass of granite, formed around 280 million years ago, which lies below much of Cornwall. The name derives from the Roman word for the Cornish area, meaning ‘hill dwellers’.
