Keith Milow’s work focuses on a blurring of the boundaries between painting and sculpture. Constructing modular interlocking lead forms layered onto board with contrasting surface textures, Milow defined his own distinctive style. In experimenting with the effects of oxidization, he created a rich new materiality leading to a groundbreaking solo exhibition with the Nigel Greenwood Gallery in 1989. In this recent 'Drawing', Milow exchanges his archetypal regular orbs for more randomly placed ovoid shapes of varying hues. The resultant effect brings movement to the inert structure of lead panels.
